1. If you want to save money on accommodation while you study then proximity to your college/university has to be a priority. As does internet connection and what the homeowner expects you to do on a daily basis.

Travel planning starts with a conversation. My post on planning for retirement also started with a conversation for a very good reason. Conversations are THE best way to start planning for the important things in your life.  Unless you can afford to have vacations that you can’t wait to get home from then you need to have a travel plan. In retirement the travel plan is even more important and because time is usually the one commodity you have plenty of  it too is open to debate. For some vacations have a time limit. For others it may become a full time life time choice.
