Homemade drinks contain fresh fruits and vegetables and the benefits of these to our health and well being are obvious. Many articles, recipe books and natural health followers cite specific medical benefits. I have deliberately left these out of my recipes for fear that some readers may decide that my homemade drinks are an alternative to and medical advice. Smoothies, slushies and juice support health and well being and are not a substitute for health conditions that require medical intervention.

Another way of increasing your intake of natural foods is to add dairy products to your homemade drinks (providing you have no known allergy of course!) Most of the healthiest smoothie recipes all contain fruits and vegetables
Tea drinking is perhaps one of the most common homemade drinks. Many of us have our preferred brand of tea and we stick to it! However, there is a trend towards varying our choices both for the tastiest tea infusion and the healthiest tea. With the addition of herbs and spices, teas are a simple addition to our homemade drink recipes.
